A Word from a Singer...

14 years of bringing a joyful noise to a community. Years of bringing singers and musicians together to share the music of the Christmas season and the reason for the season, which is celebrating the birth of our Savior.

Nelson Miller had a dream and the dream was to create a cantata that would bring residents together to raise monies for food pantries in the area.

The Winter Rose by Joseph Martin was the cantata that Nelson chose back 14 years ago and with his guidance and professionalism, he has created various cantatas during the years. Sopranos, Altos, Tenors, and Basses were brought together to raise their voices.

Nelson Miller this year will be sitting in the pews and for the first year in many, he will be able to see the fabulous works that he has been a part of.

As one of the singers in the cantata having only missed one year, I appreciate Nelson's efforts. I also appreciate the men and women that make a commitment each year to attend the practices, who make the cookies for the reception afterward and I am not alone when I mention that we appreciate the audience that comes to the cantata. It is bringing a community together that makes a difference.
